Florida Tech Program Review
Florida Tech wants to help its students develop a love of learning, a sense of belonging and a dedication to the pursuit of excellence both in their academic careers and beyond. The school provides students with high quality faculty, cutting-edge technology and research facilities, and a diverse student body. Florida Tech wants to be a place where students can grow not only intellectually, but personally as well and become successful and confident professionals.
At the time of its founding, Florida Tech was called the Brevard Engineering College and was dedicated to educating students in technical engineering fields. That was in 1958, but only a few years later the school had changed not only it’s name but its location to become Florida Tech. The main campus of the school is in Melbourne, Florida, and there are satellite campuses in Alabama, Virginia, New Jersey and elsewhere in Florida. Many campuses are affiliated with specialty programs or military bases.
Florida Tech is a great choice for anyone looking to pursue a career in a high tech industry or engineering field. The school is consistently well ranked by U.S. News & World Report and has aerospace programs that work in conjunction with nearby NASA. The school can also help graduates find employment in Florida’s growing tech sector, as the school is located near thousands of high tech facilities and corporations.
Florida Tech offers students the chance to take a variety of classes and degree programs remotely and to study at times when it’s most convenient. Classes are delivered through the Virtual Classroom and students will log into Blackboard to talk with fellow students and get their assignments. Degree programs are available at a variety of levels and can allow students to get training in valuable fields like Computer Information Systems, Management and Accounting.
