Indiana State University Program Review
Indiana State University wants to create a learning environment that promotes students’ personal and professional growth and allows them to interact in a positive and collaborative manner with fellow students and instructors. The school dedicates its resources to becoming the best university possible and giving students the resources both in technology and faculty to help them become competent professionals.
Indiana State was founded in 1865 as a place to train primary and secondary school teachers that were needed in cities and towns around the state. Interested students can still take advantage of teacher education programs with Indiana State, but that school has greatly increased the number of degree programs offered to students. The main campus of the school is in Terre Haute, Indiana, and is comprised of both historic and modern facilities to meet the needs of students. Those who cannot attend campus-based classes can take advantage of online programs of study.
While Indiana State has many quality educational programs, the school has received special attention for a few of its best. U.S. News & World Report ranked the school’s Masters in Education program as one of the top 100 in the United States, building on the school’s long history of teacher education programs. The school also has programs of note in both the Psychology and Geography departments, as well as a history of great sports teams and fun extracurricular activities.
Students can study with Indiana State without ever leaving home with the school’s online education offerings. No matter what level of degree you’re seeking, there are programs available online to meet your needs, from professional certification programs to a simple undergraduate degree completion program. Students will be able to work with faculty online to gain the educational skills and knowledge needed to compete in fields like Business Administration, Criminology and Aviation Flight Technology.
