Keiser University Program Review
Students at Keiser will benefit from the university’s dedication to creating educational programs that combine the necessary attributes of general education with the practical skills gained through career-focused classroom and practical training. Students are not only encouraged to seek out the best in their academic careers but in their communities as well, and service is a big part of theuUniversity’s mission to create graduates that are well-balanced, competent and valuable leaders in their communities.
The Keiser family founded the university in 1977 to help provide the area with a career-centered educational facility. The school has expanded rapidly over the past few decades and is now not only composed of the main campus in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but also of twelve other campus located throughout Florida. For those not native to Florida and who wish to take classes from Keiser, many majors and degree programs are offered online as well.
Keiser works on an accelerated class schedule that can help students complete degree programs quickly and get right into the workforce with improved and expanded job skills. In just as little as 18 months students can earn their Associate’s degree, or in 41 months a Bachelor’s. Students complete coursework more quickly by taking just one course at a time that requires more intensive study over a shorter period of time. The school feels this method helps students move more quickly while retaining more information overall.
Students enrolled with online degree programs at Keiser will have access to many of the same benefits as students taking classes on campus. Online courses come complete with tech support, a student email address, and access to an online library. Students can earn their Associate’s or Bachelor’s degrees through interaction with instructors and classmates on discussion boards, chat rooms and email. The school offers a variety of majors to suit student needs, some of which include Nursing, Criminal Justice and Business.
