National American University was established by Clarence Jacobson in 1941 as a one-year secretarial school and was called the National College of Business. This Rapid City, SD, school has locations in several states in the Midwest and Southwest including Colorado, New Mexico, Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota and Texas. Since 1996, the school has also operated an online school to allow students with different learning needs to enjoy educational opportunities as well.
The university offers several different academic programs in the fields of accounting, applied management, business administration, health care, and information technology. Students can also pursue Master’s level degrees in business. NAU is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. For those attending class on campus, the school has highly successful rodeo and volleyball teams that interested students will be able to participate in.
