National University Program Review
National University aims to be a place where educational opportunities are easily accessible no matter the student’s location, financial situation, age or any other demographics. The school wants to create programs that blend technology with personal attention and to constantly keep abreast of new advancements that will allow them to better assist students in becoming more successful, happy professionals and leaders in their communities.
The main offices of National University were set up in San Diego in 1971. The university is currently the second largest private university in California, and consists of 17 campuses across California and Nevada. The wide range of locations make it easier for students to find a nearby branch, but if campuses are still too far, there is a growing online education program as well. Students can complete undergraduate and graduate studies at both the on-campus and online sites.
National University offers a wide variety of majors to students, but it is best known for it’s undergraduate and graduate programs in teaching. The school is one of the largest producers of teaching degrees in the country, preparing thousands of students to work in elementary and secondary education positions. Many graduates from the program have gone on to win awards as teachers and have become leaders and role models in their fields.
Students enrolling in online programs with National University will get coursework that is available to them at any time they need. Materials are delivered through the virtual classroom, and students will get the chance to interact with classmates and faculty through email and chat programs. Degree programs are available at the undergraduate and graduate levels and in a range of different majors. Currently, online courses are available in in-demand fields like Business Administration, Teaching and E-Business.
