Nichols College Program Review
Students at Nichols College will get a practical education that is career-focused and will give them the skills, resources and competencies to excel in any field they choose. Programs are designed so that students will learn in a comfortable environment, are given personal attention, and aided by advisors and faculty to meet their true potential. Class sizes are kept small and give students the chance to get hands-on experience that they can immediately apply to their careers.
The school was started all the way back in 1815 as Nichols Academy, by Amasa Nichols, though it has had a tumultuous history and has not been in continuous operation. Today the school offers many degree programs for students in the local Dudley, Massachusetts, area and around the country through the online distance learning platform.
While students may choose from a variety of majors, the bulk of Nichols’ programs are dedicated to business. In fact, the business program is what the school is best known for, as it has an impressive success record for its graduates. It has been reported that one in ten students that graduates from Nichols’ program will become a CEO of a company. Students have numerous options as to how they want to pursue their business education and can choose from loads of specializations.
Many of these business programs and specializations are available to students not only on campus but through online study as well. Online programs allow students to complete their degrees, no matter what they choose, at their own pace. Students who are worried about working alone or don’t feel like a complete online education suits their needs can combine their online coursework with on-campus courses that meet in the evenings and on weekends. Online programs are available at the Master’s and Bachelor’s level and in business fields like Business Administration in Criminal Justice Management, General Business and Accounting.
