Post University Program Review
Post University wants to provide its students with the preparation that will grant them the confidence, knowledge and competitive edge that they need to be successful and fulfilled adult professionals. Both book learning and working experience are emphasized in the school’s programs to equip students with the information they’ll need in the global market. Personal development, collaboration and career focus are all important parts of the learning experience at Post.
During the strong periods of industrial growth in Connecticut around the turn of the century, Post University was founded so that local workers could gain important industrial skills. With over a hundred years of experience, today the school offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in a much wider variety of majors. The main campus is located in Waterbury, Connecticut, though there are satellite campuses in Meriden and Danbury as well as online.
Students at Post’s campus locations will be able to participate in a variety of programs that can help advance their careers and give them additional learning opportunities. Post offers students the chance to participate in a large co-op program which will place them in businesses and industry positions during their final years of school so that they can gain working experience while still in college.
Students enrolled with online programs at Post will be able to take advantage of the latest advances in technology to get their class assignments and to hear lectures from their professors. Courses are set up on an accelerated basis, with each taking only eight weeks to complete. This allows students at Post to earn their degrees more quickly and get into the workforce. Degrees are available to students in a wide array of majors that include Human Services, Criminal Justice, Accounting and more.
