Tiffin University Program Review
Tiffin University aims to offer students an educational experience that is career-directed and provides a great basic foundation in general education. Students will be prepared for successful careers through building skills in leadership and encouraging students to meet their potential and give back to their communities during and after their educations. Special emphasis is put on meeting the needs of adult students who may need to balance work and family commitments while attending classes.
The Tiffin, Ohio, school was founded in 1888 and has grown by leaps and bounds since it began awarding degrees to students. The school has a main campus in Tiffin, but students can also attend classes in Cincinnati, Columbus, Fremont, Toledo, and Lima, as well as at several learning centers in the Cleveland area. For those who cannot attend classes on-campus, there is an online campus for distance learners which can make it easier for many to integrate education into a busy schedule.
Tiffin University is committed to creating an educational atmosphere that welcomes and embraces students from all over the world. A large portion of Tiffin’s student body is made up from international students from places like China, Romania, and the Pacific Islands. Students both online and off will get the chance to meet and work with these students and share insights and knowledge unique to each of their cultures. Students taking classes with Tiffin can also take advantage of study abroad programs themselves and travel to Europe or other destinations to work on their degrees.
Online programs at Tiffin are very similar to those offered on campus. Students will have access to the same faculty, curriculum and many of the same resources as on campus students. They will also be able to access a support staff if they have any issues with the online platform. Students can pursue online degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels in in-demand fields like Criminal Justice and Business Administration.
