UMass Online Program Review
Students at the University of Massachusetts will benefit from the school’s affordable educational programs that allow them to gain high quality education from staff and faculty dedicated to their success. The school commits much of its resources and energy to building research programs that work on cutting edge issues and provide a benefit to local and global communities. Both students and faculty are encouraged to continue their education throughout their lives and to constantly strive to meet higher standards personally and professionally.
The University of Massachusetts was founded in 1863, and offers students throughout Massachusetts and around the country a variety of majors and degree programs. In 2001, the school decided to create an online branch which is known as UMass Online. It was created to meet the needs of adult learners or students that required a more flexible learning schedule than traditional classes allow.
Students who opt to take courses through the school’s online programs will enjoy the confidence of studying with a university that is not only well-ranked nationally, but that has also been providing distance learning opportunities, both online and through the mail, for a quarter of a century. Students taking online courses will enjoy the same great, high-quality educational experience as students in the classroom with the added benefit of extra flexibility.
UMass Online is easy-to-use and can fit into the schedule of just about any busy adult who wants to improve their career opportunities and get a chance for advancement. Faculty for online courses are drawn from the same award-winning and highly qualified group of teachers as traditional courses, and students may even get more one-on-one attention in the online format. To access coursework and lectures, students will simply log onto the online platform and complete the work at their own pace. Degree programs are available at all levels and in majors as diverse as Art Management, English, Engineering, and Public Health.
