University of Colorado Denver Program Review
The University of Colorado in Denver dedicates itself to building world-class research and scholarship programs that enable students to gain the foundation they need upon which to build a successful professional career. Programs are designed to bring out the best qualities in students and to make them effective and capable leaders both at home and anywhere they might travel in the world.
The university in Denver began amidst a tumultuous state supreme court battle, and the school itself wasn’t created until 1974 when the issue was officially settled. It is now a part of the wider University of Colorado, which has campuses in Denver and Aurora as well as a newly created online campus for out of state or nontraditional students.
Students can take advantage of the school’s history as a medical institution and pursue one of many healthcare degree programs the school now offers. Students will get to work with qualified faculty and engage in medical and scientific research programs that are at the leading edge in their fields. On campus students will also enjoy internship and co-op opportunities at the campus hospital as well as the close association of the university with a number of large tech companies.
Online courses at UC Denver offer students the chance to take full degree programs or to take individual courses for their own personal or professional enrichment. Students will work with faculty and other students to complete assignments and to discuss materials online. The programs are designed so that students can listen to lectures and complete their work at any time during the day or night. Degrees are offered at both the Bachelor’s and Master’s level and can be pursued in fields like Sociology, English, Early Childhood Education, Public Administration and more.
