University of Illinois Global Campus Program Review
The University of Illinois Global Campus program hopes to bring high quality educational opportunities to students from all over so that they can improve their lives and work to improve their communities. Online programs for e-learning and continuing education are designed to be part of a larger active and influential learning community of students and faculty around the nation.
The University of Illinois has several campuses throughout Illinois in cities such as Chicago, Champaign-Urbana and Springfield. It was founded in 1867 with funds given by Abraham Lincoln to help improve the educational offerings in the state. Recently, the school has opted to use their tech-savvy campus to create an online campus as well. Using the Internet, students from all over the nation can study alongside students on campus.
Students enrolled with the university online or off will get access to one of the top ten public universities in the nation as ranked by US News & World Report. The school is home to a number of premier research facilities in computing, engineering and the sciences as well as numerous other highly regarded educational programs that can help students get access to the skills they‘ll need to land great jobs upon graduation.
The University of Illinois has been a part of the Internet since its earliest conception, and students will enjoy the experience the school has with technology through its online programs. Faculty are of the highest quality, and students will also work with an advisor who will help them create and pursue a program that works best for them. Classes will be taken through a variety of formats including interactive presentations, pod casts and Web conferences. There are several majors now available online including Education, Nursing, and Sport, Recreation and Tourism.
