Daniel Webster College Program Review
Daniel Webster College is a four-year, private college with a student-focused approach. Students are giving individual attention and benefit from a small college atmosphere, which encourages a supportive community spirit and plenty of academic and extracurricular resources that prepare students for the real world. Students are educated in the fields of aviation, engineering, management, computer science, and the social sciences to positively impact their communities and transform them into industry leaders.
Daniel Webster College is located in Nashua, NH, a city that has twice been named "America's Best Place to Live." The school is also located 36 miles north of Boston, which provides an urban environment for students to explore themselves socially, intellectually, creatively, and culturally. Daniel Webster serves approximately 1,200 students, 600 traditional students and 600 nontraditional students. Class sizes are small, and students often form long lasting relationships with advisors, instructors, and each other. Daniel Webster is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Council on Aviation Accreditation (CAA), and is a pilot school approved by the Federal Aviation Administration Air Agency Certification PSE 15/21.
Undergraduate programs offered at Daniel Webster College include majors in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Social Science, Psychology, Marketing Management, Homeland Security, Computer Science, Gaming, Simulation, and Robotics, Sport Management, Aviation Operations, Information Systems, and more. Daniel Webster also offers an MBA degree, and several workforce training, distance education, accelerated Bachelor's degree, and continuing education programs for nontraditional students. Certificates are offered in Web Design, .NET Program Track, and UNIX Programming, giving business and technology students and edge in the competitive workforce.
Students at Daniel Webster College are encouraged to apply their classroom skills to real-world situations even before they graduate. Student organizations include the Gaming Guild, Army ROTC, Student Senate, Virtual Flight Simulation Club, Ice Hockey, NCAA Division III sports, and more. Daniel Webster is located next to the city's municipal airport, and the school's aviation fleet includes Cessna 172s and its own air traffic control simulator.
