Herzing College Program Review

Herzing College works hard to prepare students to be successful and to grow academically, personally and to meet their goals in their careers. The school designs their degree programs to meet the requirements of modern employers in high demand fields like technology, business, health care, design and public safety. Students will receive a firm foundation in general education as well as intensive and career-focused education that is created to improve their potential for career advancement.

Herzing College was originally created to be a computer programming school when it was founded by Henry and Suzanne Herzing in 1965. Over time, however, the school has grown to include much more than computer programming training in its curriculum. Today the school operates with its main campus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as well as maintaining learning centers in Orlando, Atlanta, Madison, Birmingham and New Orleans. The school also works with affiliated school across Canada and maintains an active online learning community.

Students can still find a great education in electronics and programming at Herzing. With years of experience in the tech sector, as well as access to state-of-the-art facilities, students can get the education they need from Herzing to work competitively in the programming and IT fields. Many of the programs at Herzing are career-oriented, meaning that the lessons taught in class are designed to be things that will be immediately applicable in the workplace.

Online classes at Herzing offer students a choice of how they want to shape their distance learning experience. Students may opt to take classes entirely online, or combine online study with occasional on campus classes. There are several different programs of study that students can pursue online, and degrees are offered at both the Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree levels. Some of the majors that are available though online study include: Business Administration, Graphic Design and Computer Science.
