Rasmussen College Program Review
The mission of Rasmussen College is to serve the community by providing a higher learning facility that meets the needs of the diverse group of students in the community. The programs are designed to encourage students to develop personally and professionally and to cultivate a lifelong love of learning, and to build self-respect and respect for the community. The school wants to produce graduates who are productive and successful members of their professions and their communities.
Rasmussen College has its beginnings in 1900, when it was founded by Walter Rasmussen in St. Paul, Minnesota. The purpose of the school at that time was to provide the community with skilled professionals which it sorely needed. Through the years, the college has grown to encompass 25 locations throughout Minnesota, Illinois, North Dakota, Florida, Wisconsin and most recently online.
Students at Rasmussen will be able to enroll in a variety of degree programs that are designed to suit their needs and individual skills. The school’s most popular programs are in high-demand fields like Accounting, Criminal Justice and Paralegal studies. Programs are offered in both two and four year degrees with well over 40 different programs to choose from. The school has recently partnered with Deltak Edu to offer students the ability to earn their Masters degrees as well.
The online environment at Rasmussen is created to allow students to get the education they need within a flexible and accommodating format. Students have the option of taking classes entirely online or if they’d like a little more guided instruction they can take classes that are a blend of online and in-class sessions. The online format is designed to be easy-to-use and allows students to access their class materials at any time or place that’s most convenient to them. Students can take programs online that range from Health Care Management to Web Design.
