Villanova University Program Review
Villanova provides students with an environment in which students and faculty can learn from a Christian intellectual and moral perspective and with the teachings of the Catholic faith being applied to all areas of study. Villanova is committed to offering undergraduate and graduate programs that will best meet the needs of a diverse group of students and that emphasizes the disciplines of philosophy and theology.
Villanova was founded in 1842 by an Augustinian monastic order, but the history of the school may go back as far as 1811. Either way, Villanova is the oldest and largest Catholic university in Pennsylvania and one of the oldest in the nation. The school’s main campus is in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania, but students can also get professional certifications through the school’s online campus.
Villanova University has a tradition of offering high quality educational programs. It has been ranked as the number one Masters University in the Northern Region by U.S. News and World Report. The school also has several highly regarded academic programs, including a top ten engineering school for graduate students, a highly regarded business school, law school and nursing school. The school has also had some distinction in its dedication to technology and being an extremely wired university.
Villanova University's Professional Education Certificate programs are offered to managers and professionals who want to improve their performance at work and enjoy the advantages gained from attaining professional certification, including career advancement and increased earning potential. Students will take courses at their own pace towards certifications that cover a wide range of business and IT issues and fields. Some of the programs currently available cover areas like Six Sigma, Contract Management, IS Security, Business Analysis, Phillips ROI Methodology and Human Resources.
