West Virginia University Program Review

Originally known as the Agricultural College of West Virginia, West Virginia College was founded in 1867. The main campus of the school is in Morgantown, West Virginia, though students can attend classes at campuses in Charleston, Keyser, Montgomery and Parkersburg, as well as through the online distance learning program.
West Virginia University boasts a great reputation for scholarship. Its students have won many prestigious honors including being named as Rhodes, Goldwater and Truman Scholars. Those interested in pursuing a career in forensics will also find that the school boasts a nationally recognized program that can provide them with numerous research and professional training opportunities. The program works with the FBI on many projects and is accredited by the American Academy of Forensic Sciences making it an attractive choice for interested students.
Students can learn on their home computers through the Extended Learning program from West Virginia University. Their school offers a large number of degree programs online at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and students can get additional credit towards their degrees if they have been working in their career field for a number of years. Online course material is delivered asynchronously, and students can pursue programs in fields like Nursing, Child Care and Advertising.
