Western International University Program Review
Western International University is dedicated to providing students with a broad educational foundation as well as giving them the necessary knowledge in business and technology to be confident, knowledgeable leaders in the workplace. The school wants to provide educational programs that suit the needs of students from a wide variety of backgrounds and that are flexible enough to work for both traditional and nontraditional students. Ultimately, the school hopes to produce students that are competent professionals and who can provide excellent service to their fields and their communities.
In 1978, Western International University was founded in Phoenix Arizona and received accreditation in 1980. The school has awarded degrees to thousands of students since, and in 1995 the school joined with the Apollo Group to bring its programs and services to an even wider group of students. The school has 3 campuses as well as an online division that incorporate global perspective.
Many of Western International University’s programs are designed specially to meet the needs of working adults. Classes are offered on campus on the weekends and evenings or online 24/7. Students have a variety of options which can allow them to work towards a degree on their own terms and without sacrificing the other things in their lives that are important to them. Students can make the most of previous experience with life experience credits, which can make working towards a degree easier and faster than ever.
Students taking online courses with West will not only have access to their coursework when and where they need it, but they can also access resources like an online bookstore, financial assistance and a student alumni network. Courses are taught through lectures, presentations, and class discussions that are entirely online. Undergraduate programs are available in fields like Accounting, Behavioral Science, and Business, and the school also offers Master’s degrees in Business Administration, Information Technology and Public Administration.
